Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Summery ("we", "us") is a personal finance dashboard. You can reach us at hello@summery.app.

2. What we collect

Account information you provide (email address, password hash).
Financial account data retrieved from your bank via Plaid: institution name, account names, account balances, and transaction history.
Technical data necessary to operate the service: IP address, browser user-agent, and basic activity logs for security purposes.

We do not receive, store, or have access to your online-banking username or password. Those are entered directly into Plaid's secure flow and never reach our servers.

3. How we use it

Your data is used solely to provide the Summery dashboard to you. We do not sell your data, advertise against it, or share it with third parties for marketing.

4. Sub-processors

We rely on the following third parties to operate the service:

Plaid — secure connection to your bank accounts. See Plaid's end-user privacy policy.
Supabase — authentication and encrypted database hosting.
Vercel — application hosting and edge infrastructure.

5. Security

Plaid access tokens are encrypted at the column level with AES-256-GCM before being stored. All data is encrypted at rest by Supabase and in transit over HTTPS/TLS 1.2+. Optional two-factor authentication (TOTP) is available in your account settings.

6. Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can disconnect individual bank connections at any time from Settings — this immediately revokes the Plaid access token and deletes all data from that institution. You can also delete your entire account from Settings, which permanently removes all your data within 24 hours and revokes every active Plaid connection.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. The self-service deletion in Settings satisfies the right to deletion; for other requests, contact us at the address above.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or via an in-app notice.
